'The Infinitram'

This large piece was part of the National Autistic Society garden at the 2024 Chelsea Flower Show. The garden won a silver gilt medal, and it was a privilege to be part of the team. It also marks a key turning point in switching direction to outdoor wind-powered sculpture.

The machine was installed to illustrate the complexities of the autistic mind.

'Solis'

an exhibition at Rodić Davidson Architects, Bloomsbury, London.

The following works are a series of assemblage box art pieces constructed for an exhibition at the Rodić Davidson architectural practice in Bloomsbury. 'Solis' (of the sun), took inspiration from my interest in all things celestial, but particularly the location close to the British Museum, where artefacts, memories and early understandings are distilled within the confines of a handmade box...

..In each of these boxes, I have tried to encapsulate and preserve a ‘feeling’ of what these mysterious worlds evoke in me, albeit in a somewhat naive and fanciful way. These assemblages with their own lighting and kinetic movements are a departure from my usual creations, but I find the box serves very well to elevate and protect in a way that can focus, and even alter an objects meaning.

The period was extended, and all boxes were sold.

'The Kinetic Brain'

Thanks again to Rodić Davidson Architects, I was invited to unveil my 'Kinetic Brain'.

The Brain is still technically a work in progress, and has been under construction for several years. I was inspired to take on this project having already built the 'Kinetic Lungs' previously. The track systems / networks, are mechanically selectable to demonstrate a variety of brain states by means of multiple ball bearings and gravity.



The unveiling was also accompanied by a demonstration and talk, to highlight  the benefits of neurodivergence.

The subject of 'special interests' and hyper-focus were explained as part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week.

'Untitled'

This piece was a private commission which now resides in the oldest house in the City of London.

'Flare'

'Flare' was originally commissioned by a private client, but a major spec change sadly meant it couldn't  be accommodated. It was subsequently purchased by the MAD Museum.

This tall sculpture was commissioned by a hotel in Singapore, I liaised with a Honk Kong based design team to ensure it met their specific design and shipping requirements.


'The Kinetic Lungs'

I was approached and commissioned by a UK design company to build a large scale sculpture for a Pharmaceutical event, the finished piece stands 2.3 metres tall and was displayed at a corporate congress at the Rai in Amsterdam. The manual introduction of a red ball (a new product), demonstrates an increase in airflow that is represented by white balls.

'Grey Matter'

This piece was professionally filmed for corporate use in the UK.
